Whence comes he? No man knows. Whither strikes he next? All men live in fear of him and his Moxie.
I did some research on Alexa to see how various web pages I frequent, compare. (#1 visited site is Yahoo, followed by MSN and then Google. Mad, mad world we live in.) Steve Pavlina had an article a little while back about how he makes around $5k from adsense a month currently. I was somewhat impressed... until I saw that the jerk/psycho is #15,000 - 8-bit Theater is like #12,500. So he makes a profit on a high yield trafficed website.
So what I learned from his article is that self-improvement people are psycho. His articles are very thorough, and there are sometimes good ideas in there. That helps a little bit
It boils down to what I always thought, though: To be successful you have to kick ass. Do you kick ass? Y/N?
What plys on my mind is I don't really have any raw data on traffic; what is the numbers difference between #15,000 and #50,000 in terms of peoples? If it's like 10,000 hits a month, no big deal. If it's 400,000, well, we have a problem, no?
I also saw The GIA is around a million in terms of popularity. Don't know if the mirror still gets the same kind of traffic the cover page claims.
And to close this subject:
Battle.net - #5,635
Blizzard.com - #2,890
Worldofwarcraft.com - #471
The idea of Fairtax interests me.
Going to try to see what I can do to emulate the Rapture Unlimited style art cells I've done, in Inkscape. Not as important as IFP, but I'm still waiting on those scans.... still.... waiting.....
Today was my 2-pound burrito supreme PT run day. I feel not so good. My nether regions smelt pretty bad. My ass burns currently. The plaine, man, the plaine.
